The Awakening

When all lights die and time still leaves you in wonder why it’s a farcry from where you’ve been before

And when I reach out you try to run but won’t come closer

I wish we could ignore that nothing stays the same anymore

This time it’s for the taking in time new morning’s breaking

Dance to the past it’s dead and gone

This is the new awakening for every truth that I seek

Sing to the past it’s dead and gone

Like the sunlight yesterday turns into shadow that after midnight comes knocking at my door

If I could break out could try to rise from undercover

I think we could ignore that nothing stays the same

Up get up we fall and falter

On get on to something better
